The Community Engagement Team brings community partner organizations and academics together to advance minority health and health disparities research in San Diego and Imperial Counties. The Community Engagement Team consists of Co-Leaders, all faculty members at SDSU or SDSU-IV, a Community Engagement Coordinator, and a Research Assistant. Through the Community Engagement Team, formal partnerships are established with community partner organizations serving San Diego and Imperial Counties, such as Federally Qualified Health Centers, health and human services agencies, and other education, social services, community, and media organizations. New partnerships are also established through the Investigator Development Core’s Pilot Project program.
