Angelina Ruiz, MPH
Angelina Ruiz coordinates the efforts of the Intervention Methods Group, which provides consultation and training to support researchers developing new or adapting evidence-based interventions. She earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Management & Policy from San Diego State University in 2025, building on a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UCLA in 2020. Angelina is passionate about using implementation science to bring evidence-based practices into health service settings. In addition to the Intervention Methods Group coordinator role at the SDSU Research Foundation, she also supports a project investigating the effectiveness of an evidence-based invention adapted for autistic youth in mental health service settings. With a strong background in data analysis, project management, and quality improvement, Angelina strives to improve access, outcomes, and equity across systems of care. Angelina is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) San Diego Chapter, the American Public Health Association (APHA), and the Society for Implementation Research Collaboration (SIRC). At the 2024 SIRC Conference, Angelina received the Outstanding Practice-Focused Oral Presentation Award for her solo presentation on utilizing community-academic partnerships to leverage applied implementation data.
