Community Engagement Team
The Community Engagement Team brings academic and partner organizations together to advance minority health by focusing on research to reduce health disparities in San Diego and Imperial County. By fostering collaborative and sustainable partnerships to promote community engagement in the SDSU HealthLINK Center. Through these partnership we hope to raise community participation in how the HealthLINK Center focuses future direction, by providing input on the Design, Implementation, and Dissemination of research.
Our team works to strengthen the relationships between academics and community partners to conduct meaningful minority health and health disparities research that mutually benefits the people, organizations, and communities involved.
Our Center values forming partnerships and working groups with partner organizations that serve the same minority and health disparate communities they represent. We strive for equal partnerships to promote capacity building and sharing of knowledge by building on already existing partnerships while striving to expand our network through new partners.
