Grants Awarded

San Diego State University received a $19.9 million, five-year award from the National Institute on Minority Health Disparities, part of the National Institutes of Health, under award number U54MD012397. This award, one of the largest in San Diego State University history, was granted to support the university’s growing research enterprise on health disparities throughout San Diego and Imperial counties. This award also supports post-doctoral fellows and early career scientists with annual seed funding between $30,000 and $50,000 for pilot projects.
