Sung Q. Lee, Phd
Dr. Sung Q. Lee is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University and currently serves as a Coordinator at the SDSU HealthLINK Center. With over 20 years of experience in biomedical engineering, Dr. Lee has led groundbreaking research in brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), implantable medical devices, and wearable health monitoring systems. His career spans both academic and governmental research institutions, including his role as Director of the Brain Links Creative Research Section at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in Korea. Dr. Lee’s contributions include over 50 peer-reviewed publications and 88 registered patents. He is a recipient of the 2025 SDSU Patent Award for the development of a wearable health-monitoring platform. His academic credentials include BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).
