Intervention Methods Group Coordinator

Dulce Rodriguez, Ph.D. is the Coordinator of the Intervention Methods Group at the SDSU HealthLINK Center, where she supports researchers in the development and adaptation of evidence-based interventions and the implementation of qualitative research methods including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and mixed-methods approaches.

A transdisciplinary researcher with a background in engineering and social sciences, her work sits at the intersection of technology, health, and human experience. She is passionate about designing research that keeps people particularly those from underrepresented communities at the center of health innovation. Prior to joining HealthLINK, she spent four years at Stanford Medicine where she led clinical studies with older adult and minority populations and conducted formative research on barriers to health equity and clinical trial participation among Hispanic and Latinx communities. Her work has also explored how digital health technologies such as virtual reality, wearable devices, and Al-based tools can be designed and implemented in ways that are meaningful and accessible to diverse populations. She is also an active IMPRINT Scholar at UC Berkeley, an NIH-funded fellowship focused on translating Alzheimer’s and dementia research into community-centered solutions.

She holds a Ph.D. in Education – Technology and Society from the University of Bristol (UK), a Master of Science in Learning, Technology and Society, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Systems from Universidad Iberoamericana. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
