Karin Funaki, BA

Research Assistant

Karin works as a research assistant for the Measurement Methods Group and the Health Data Analytics Group, where she supports researchers with survey designs and data analysis/visualizations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California Riverside in 2025 and is currently a Master of Science candidate in Statistics with a concentration in Biostatistics at San Diego State University. Her research background includes topics surrounding the impact of social media use in mental health stigmatization, biopsychology between extraversion and social well-being, and the analysis of neurodegenerative disease clinical trial datasets.
